Rebellion and Human Progress
Prometheus: the Titan who defied divine authority (Zeus, the archetypal oligarch/tyrant) by stealing fire and gifting it to humanity, thereby fueling the indomitable spirit of human creativity, knowledge, and hope for the first time.
Our Mission: To embrace a Promethean identity that renews government of the people, by the people, and for the people by unseating failing elites, ending wars, and igniting a renaissance in science, art, human creativity, and advancement.
In Greek mythology, Zeus, like today’s financier oligarchs, reigned with great and arbitrary power. With this power, he sought to destroy humans by leaving them as primitive feral beasts, scrounging for the means to survive.
The titan, Prometheus, rebelled, stealing the fire of life from the gods and gifting it to humans, thereby fueling human economies and creativity. Writing, mathematics, agriculture, medicine, science, and most importantly, hope was allowed for the first time.
For this, Zeus attempted to crush Prometheus, sentencing him to eternal punishment unless he renounced his love of mankind.
Prometheus did not submit. Neither will we.
We stand at the beginning of a new era for humans, where fission and fusion can provide limitless power and energy, and discoveries in biophysics hold hope of conquering disease.
Yet, the wreckage created by the incompetent minds of our present elites is everywhere: Addicts line our streets, crime proceeds unchecked, deaths outpace births, children are taught nothing and groomed for sex, and until recently, a modern slave trade flourished on our borders.
Meanwhile, our failing oligarchs say we’re too many and cull the population through famines, wars, and disease. They demand energy sources from the Dark Ages and want to ration food and medicine to accomplish their goals. If that weren’t enough, they tell us how we’ll “own nothing and be happy,” while pretending a population of low-wage rent slaves is necessary to “save the planet.”
Like Prometheus, Donald J. Trump listens to and loves the people. Like Prometheus, he threatens the existing power structure. Like Prometheus, they set out to crush him. In the process, they shredded our Constitution and plundered Lady justice.
This is unacceptable. We must return to a system of blind, apolitical justice. The regime responsible must be dismantled and rebuilt on this principle from the ground up. The good news is that, whether it be Rome, Venice, or the more recent British Empire, oligarchical financial empires throughout history have failed through their own foolishness, arrogance, and evil.
The current regime will be no different.
The Task Before Us –The Fire Bringers
Donald Trump now understands the pure evil of the elite oligarchs and has not and will not bend to them. He also understands the great leap we must make, ending wars and reindustrializing our economy to raise everyone’s standard of living and quality of life.
Now, everyone else must understand.
Like the advances Prometheus fueled with his gift of fire, it’s time to leap out of our present descent with an economic and cultural renaissance. Embracing the power of the human mind, we seek to deploy science, art, and history to unseat our present failing elites while inspiring our people to achieve their greatest potential. We also seek to be modern Fire Bringers, to evangelize others to take up this identity.
To support this effort, we aim to educate, to help Americans understand our opposition and how we overcome it.
To that, the poet Percy Shelley gives us hope as only a creative mind can, when he writes in his Masque of Anarchy that the people must:
“Rise like lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number,
Shake your chains to earth like dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you—
Ye are many—they are few.”
We are many. And we will rise.
