About C.L.Chick

Hello! Thanks for stopping by.

If you’re here, I suppose you want to know a bit about me. Well, I'm a former Software Project Manager and Software Process Improvement Expert turned writer and freelance editor. I'm also a photographer, YouTuber, video editor, and animal lover with an embarrassing weakness for ice cream.

I'm sure that's all anyone really needs to know about me. But if you're going to twist my arm and make me talk about my writing, well, fine then. You win.

You should know that I'm doing this just for you, though. I don't normally gab on and on about my writing. Nope. Not me.

Ahem. Now then...

I'm the author of the Kingdom of Oxwick series (three m/m fantasy romance novels) and The Listra Chronicles, a high fantasy character-driven sword and sorcery saga. I’m also working on a second three-book m/m historic romance series, dubbed A Journey of Love and Survival.

My style is easy to read without a lot of frills, and the compliments I receive most are on my dialogue and characters. The latter, in particular, warms my heart considering a major interest of mine is the study of human behavior. Everything is about characters, character behavior, motivations, and relationships for me.

I also like it if I can make my readers tear up at least once per novel. Oh, wait. Maybe I'm not supposed to say that part out loud? Hmm.

Anyway...

As is the case for many authors, I’m behind schedule in publishing. I’ve also recently changed plans and decided to publish my C. L. Charming romance novels before the Listra series—hopefully this year.

To be notified when my novels are published, sign up at the bottom of any page on this site.

If you don’t want to wait for official releases, or you think you might be interested in having an impact on a novel before it's published, I’m always seeking to add to my beta reader pool. Please feel free to preview the first chapters of any of the novels before you sign up here.

If you've made it this far, you're a pretty awesome person, and I thank you. I hope you enjoy reading my writings, and I forgive you for forcing me to talk about them. My arm feels terribly twisted, but I'm sure I'll recover soon.
