What are your thoughts/feelings about Zel's reaction to all Tessa tells him?

Also, I let the reader in on Tessa being controlled by Voltan (and therefore Osmet) early on. Was that the right decision or would it have been better to have left the reader in the dark about all of Tessa's secrets until we get to this point?

Was Tessa's accent handled well for you?

I chose to show Tessa's accent in the initial dialogue where she admits she's a Dragas, but move into regular speech shortly after with the idea that the reader "gets it" after a few lines. How was this for you? Just enough lines of accent? Too many? Other?

We've met a lot of new characters in this novel. Do you feel that each character has enough of their own voice and personhood? Do the primary characters have enough depth and feel like real people, or do any of them fall flat?
